EyeDetect® Chelmsford

EyeDetect® is a next-generation lie detection technology that measures slight changes in eye behaviour to detect deception. Get 91% accuracy with 30-minute screening tests or 15-minute diagnostic (single-issue) tests. This technology is a non-intrusive and non-invasive way to detect deception, making it an ideal solution for a wide range of applications, including pre-employment screening, criminal investigations, infidelity, illegal drug usage and national security.

The award-winning EyeDetect® technology accurately tests job applicants, employees, patients, parolees, drug users, athletes, criminal suspects and others about specific issues or crimes in just 15 to 30 minutes.

Your brain must work harder when you tell a lie. The bigger the consequences of the lie, the greater the workload (aka cognitive load). This affects the size of the eye pupil. EyeDetect® measures changes in pupil diameter, eye movement, number of blinks and other things.

During a EyeDetect® test, the participant answers True/False questions on a computer-based application. A specialist high speed infrared camera records eye behaviours and movements.

When the test is finished, responses to questions and eye measurements are uploaded for analysis and immediate scoring. Participants are categorised as truthful or deceptive.

  1. Non-Intrusive

EyeDetect® is a non-intrusive and non-invasive way to detect deception. Unlike traditional lie detection methods, such as the polygraph, EyeDetect® does not require any physical contact with the test-taker, making it a less invasive option.

  1. Accurate

EyeDetect® has been shown to be highly accurate in detecting deception, with an accuracy rate of over 90%. This is higher than traditional lie detection methods, such as the polygraph, which has an accuracy rate of around 75%.

  1. Cost-Effective

EyeDetect® is a cost-effective option for lie detection. Unlike the polygraph, which requires a fully trained examiner to administer the test, EyeDetect® can be administered by a computer, making it a more cost-effective option.

  1. Fast

EyeDetect® can provide results in as little as 30 minutes, making it a faster option than traditional lie detection methods, which can take several hours.

Polygraph tests senses and measure and record changes in glucocorticoid (hormone) levels, which initiate chemical reactions such as changes in respiration, heart rate and skin conductance (a moisture build-up under the skin). Therefore, a polygraph test measures physiological changes when under the stress and pressure of investigative questioning. That questioning is intended to determine whether a person is telling the truth or not. For the polygraph test, the primary testing premise is that a person telling lies will show stronger emotional reactions to questions they are lying too.

EyeDetect® measures changes in pupil size and eye movements that reflect changes in brain activity while a person reads and responds to a questionnaire. For EyeDetect®, the primary testing premise is that a liar will show an increase in cognitive load when questioned about topics for which they are lying.

EyeDetect® has a wide range of applications, including:

  1. Pre-Employment Screening

EyeDetect® can be used in pre-employment screening to determine if job applicants are being truthful about their qualifications, experience, and background. This can help employers make more informed hiring decisions and reduce the risk of hiring employees who may be deceptive.

Polygraph Testing Chelmsford

The polygraph, a tool used to measure and record changes in glucocorticoid (hormone) levels, which initiate chemical reactions such as changes in respiration, heart rate and skin conductance, to determine if someone is telling the truth or not. The polygraph has been used for decades in a wide range of applications, including criminal investigations, pre-employment screenings, and national security.

The polygraph works by measuring changes in the test-taker’s physiological responses, such as blood pressure, heart rate, and respiration. The test-taker is asked a series of questions, both relevant and irrelevant to the topic, and their physiological responses are recorded and analysed.

The trained polygraph examiner will interpret the results of the test, looking for patterns in the test-taker’s physiological responses. If the test-taker’s responses indicate deception, the examiner may conclude that they are truthful or not.

The polygraph, also known as the lie detector test, has been used for decades in a wide range of applications, including criminal investigations, pre-employment screenings, and national security. The polygraph offers several benefits that make it a valuable tool for detecting deception.

  1. Non-Invasive

The polygraph is a non-invasive tool for detecting deception. Unlike other methods, such as interrogation or invasive medical tests.. This makes it a less stressful and less intimidating option for individuals being tested.

  1. Accurate

The polygraph has been shown to be an accurate tool for detecting deception. When administered by trained professionals and interpreted correctly, the polygraph has an accuracy rate of around 80%, making it a valuable tool in criminal investigations, pre-employment screenings, and national security.

  1. Time-Saving

The polygraph is a time-saving tool for detecting deception. The test can be administered in a relatively short amount of time, usually between one to two hours, depending on the number and complexity of the questions being asked.

  1. Cost-Effective

The polygraph is a cost-effective tool for detecting deception, compared to other methods, such as forensic testing or surveillance. This makes it a valuable tool for corporations, small businesses, law enforcement agencies, and government organizations with limited budgets.

  1. Deterrent

The polygraph can act as a deterrent to deception. The knowledge that a polygraph test may be administered can deter individuals from lying, making them more likely to tell the truth. This can be particularly valuable in pre-employment screenings, where employers want to ensure that their employees are honest and trustworthy.

The polygraph has a wide range of applications, including:

  1. Criminal Investigations

The polygraph is often used in criminal investigations to determine if suspects are telling the truth about their involvement in a crime. This can help gather more accurate information and make more informed decisions about how to proceed with an investigation.

  1. Pre-Employment Screening

The polygraph is sometimes used in pre-employment screening to determine if job applicants are being truthful about their qualifications, experience, and background. This can help employers make more informed hiring decisions and reduce the risk of hiring employees who may be deceptive.

  1. National Security

The polygraph is used in national security to screen individuals for potential threats. This can help security agencies identify individuals who may be deceptive or hiding critical information that could pose a threat to national security.

The polygraph offers several benefits that make it a very valuable tool for detecting deception. It is a non-invasive, accurate, timesaving, cost-effective, and deterrent tool that has a wide range of applications.
